2009 Nevada K-12 Statistics Poster Competition
State and national standards include problem solving as a critical strand in the learning of mathematics. This competition provides students with an opportunity to express creativity in the graphical analysis and interpretation of data, produced or gathered themselves in a problem-solving atmosphere. A statistical poster is a display containing one or more related graphics that summarize data, that examine the data from different points of view, and that answer specific questions about the data.

The TrigStar Contest, an annual high school mathematics competition sponsored by the National Society of Professional Surveyors based on the practical application of trigonometry. The program recognizes the best students from high schools throughout the nation.
